Firing multiple shots on to the same piece of film was technique that allowed you to superimpose two scenes on top of each other. This aesthetic is something born in photography. It wasn’t developed in any other artform first. Today, we’ll take double exposures into the 21st century by doing our combinations in the digital darkroom instead of inside the camera.
